Is Your Business Blockchain Ready? Join us on 11th April 2018!
Blockchain technology is the biggest technology development since the Worldwide Web and the Internet itself. It will transform how the food supply chain operates in the coming years.
Global food businesses, such as Walmart and others, are already investing heavily in Blockchain solutions. This groundbreaking new technology has the potential to improve food safety and traceability whilst reducing supply chain costs and risks. Those who act now will gain a major competitive advantage, whilst the rest of the food and beverages industry risk being left behind and incurring higher operating costs and risks, unable to engage at expected response levels.
Nottingham Trent University would like to invite you to join us at an exclusive invitation only Global Food Blockchain Initiative Forum for Industry Leaders. Professor Mark Biggs, Head of the College of Science and Technology will host the event, which has been organised in partnership with industry leaders in food safety, blockchain and related technologies to provide an opportunity for food chain leaders to learn from Blockchain pioneers already working on the technology. Attendance is free-of-charge to invited participants and it will operate under Chatham House rules.
The Forum will take a ‘Ted Talk Workshop’ format, where short 15-20 minute presentations will illustrate the features of the emerging technologies and how their convergence will solve the problems in food supply chains. This will be followed by breakout group discussions to brainstorm how Blockchain can be usefully employed by the food industry from farm to fork, critique proposed approaches, and identify further opportunities that may exist.
The proposed agenda can be found at www.globalfoodblockchain.org.
This exclusive event will give you and your business a unique opportunity to gain early insights into Blockchain technology and how it may be used in your business, whilst introducing you to the types of resources which are required to successfully achieve your Blockchain goals.
After the event, Nottingham Trent University will compile a report summarising the aggregated views and suggestions from the wider forum and group discussions. This will be shared with all attendees. All opinions and views shared will remain anonymous.
We believe this will be a useful exercise in stimulating Blockchain conversation in the food sector. Spaces are limited and are by invitation only so please register on www.globalfoodblockchain.org to confirm your attendance on April 11th at this unique event to help kickstart your Blockchain journey and get your organisation ‘Blockchain ready’!
